Why it matters
Three things every landscape design has to get right.
The plants come first. Most failed landscapes failed at the nursery — wrong species for the soil, the sun, or the winter. Every plant we put on a plan is one we've watched survive a Mid-Atlantic August and a Mid-Atlantic February. A design is only as good as what's still alive in year three.
The property has to fit the family. A beautiful bed no one sees from the kitchen window is a beautiful bed wasted. We design around the doors you actually use, the views you actually look at, and the way your kids, pets, and Saturday afternoons actually move through the yard.
